Why Use Overlllap
  • Primary sources: Media and secondary sources can misrepresent candidates. Keeping a candidates stated platform in focus can help minimize these distractions.
  • Total sources: Media and secondary sources often focus on controversial topics. Looking at total sources helps find common ground to push bipartisan interests.
  • Specific: Disagreements often arise from misinterpretations and misunderstandings. Being specific can help minimize these effects.
  • Curious: The world is a big place. Being curious, learning, and thoughtfully educating others is a powerful force towards bringing people together and bringing about change.
  • Platform focused: People change positions and positions change people. Focusing on platforms helps hold represenatives accountable to the statements they run on.
  • Policy focused: Focusing on policies will help you discover and advocate for what you believe in. Picking a candidate each election cycle is important, but what's more important is choosing who you are going to be.
